ERIC WAREHEIM

An Open Letter to Tim Heidecker

Dear Tim,

Thanks for your thoughts regarding our career and friendship. I often reflect back upon our chance union and body of work. I am amazed and impressed we made it this far. It was my dream to one day be creating something unfiltered, and from the heart, and us two Philly boys somehow managed to do that. ( And continue to! )

We’ve travelled around the world together performing our now dubbed “Anti-Comedy” to thousands of devoted fans. One of my fondest moments is performing our live tour in Auckland, New Zealand, and after, meeting all of the wonderful fans and friends at the end of the world! Attached is a front cover shot from the New Zealand Groove Guide.

I just feel that a public forum like this is not the ideal way to express your feelings to me. I’ve been a close friend to you for 20 years and I’ve never heard any of these words in person. There is a coldness that I’ve learned to live with. And that darkness has changed me as a person in a negative way.

That being said, I truly look forward to watching “Tim and Eric’s Bedtime Stories: Haunted House” with you October 31st at midnight on Adult Swim.

Thanks,

Eric Wareheim
